A friend of mine was fond of drawing horse. He drew the horses very well,but he always began the tail. Now it is the Western rule to begin at the head of the horse, that is why I was surprised. It struck me that it could not really make any difference whether the artist begins at the head or the tail or the belly(肚子) or the foot of the horse, if he really knows his business. And most great artists who really know their business do not follow other people’s make their own rules. Every one of them does his work in a way peculiar(奇特的) to himself; and the peculiarity means only that he finds it more easy to work in that way.

Now the very same thing is true to literature(文学). And the question, "How shall I begin?" only means that you want to begin at the head instead of beginning at the tail or somewhere else. That is, you are not yet experienced(有经验的) enough to trust to your own powers. When you become more experienced you will

never ask the question, and I think that you will often begin at the tail --that is to say, you will write the end of the story before you have even thought of the beginning.

　一、到达考场时间和携带物品的.规定

考生应按照准考证上规定的具体时间，在考试开始前30分钟抵达考场。考生须按本须知“身份证件规定”的要求携带身份证件、准考证、铅笔、水笔、橡皮;允许考生携带一瓶透明的塑料瓶装白水;禁止携带和使用涂改液和涂改带;禁止携带手机等任何电子器件，如发现按为违规处理。考试开始前及考试期间将对每个考生身份证件进行核验。考场桌面上禁止摆放除铅笔、橡皮、准考证、身份证件和塑料瓶装白水之外的任何物品(纸张、印刷品、食品饮料等)。

在考场携带有字符的纸条或在身体部位写有字符。

变造、伪造身份证件替他人考试。

任何扰乱、妨碍考试正常秩序的行为。

在考试后以任何方式和途径向他人透露部分或全部考试题或试题概要。

　　三、违规行为的处罚

对于发生上述违规行为的考生，剑桥大学外语考试部和教育部考试中心有权采取下列一种或多种处罚措施：

勒令离开考场。

扣留考试成绩，进一步调查。

取消本次考试成绩;并在相关政府机构、企业、学校、团体查询时告知。

对于受上述处罚的考生，不退还考费或改期安排考试，一切后果责任自负。

　　四、答题数据异常情况的处理

剑桥大学外语考试部在阅卷时，如发现：

答题数据异常并判定有违规行为的，将不出具成绩，不退还考费
