European Football and American Football

Although European football is the parent of American football，the two games show several major differences. European football，sometimes called association football or soccer，is played in 80 countries，making it the most widely played sport in the world. American football，on the other hand，is popular only in North America（the United States and Canada）er is played by eleven players with a round ball. Football，also played by eleven players in somewhat different positions（位置）on the field，is played with an elongated（拉长的）round ball. Soccer has little body contact（接触）between players and therefore needs no special protective equipment. Football，in which players make the greatest use of body contact to stop a running ball-carrier and his teammates，needs special protective equipment. In soccer，the ball is advanced toward the goal by kicking it or by butting（顶）it with the head. In American football，on the other hand，the ball is passed from hand to hand or carried in the hands across the opponent's（对手）goal. These are just a few of the features which distinguish（区别）association and American football.

在我调查一些同学后，我发现：说应该注重的大概占百分之六十左右，不赞成的大概占百分之四十左右。那为什么有些同学不赞成应该注重英语呢？据我调查了解，同学们都认为：1、认为英语太难学；2、认为自己长大了也没什么成就（自己的自卑感，对自己没信心）。3、认为自家有钱，长大用钱顾翻译（个别的人极度自大的表现）。

那英语在我们的生产生活中是不是真的没有用呢？在我看来我们应该注重英语，因为在我们以后的生产生活中不得不用英语和一些人交流，我们不得不好好学英语，否则以后用电脑就要落后于社会、发展、学习和人们，所以我们应该注重英语，把它更好的利用在我们的日常生活中，使它成为我们的一部分。

A large number of young people go to different kinds of schools after a day’s work to learn foreign language and computers. They are so busy working for diplomas(毕业文凭) and degrees, well-paid jobs and promotion(晋级) that they can hardly consider having a r all, the trend(趋向) that young couples don’t want to become parents reflects a significant(值得注意的) change in traditional values.
