2016年托福写作备考技巧：如何创建一座金字塔

托福写作是托福考试中备考的难点，今天小编就要给各位托福考生来讲一讲备考2016年托福考试写作的技巧之如何创建一座金字塔。

冯唐有篇文章叫《老聃的金字塔原则》，里面提到的“金字塔原则”，及其伟大的用途总结，甚至列举到的生活中极为接地气的例子，都能够分分钟让我联想到托福写作。在我最初备课的时候，它给了我无尽的启发;时至今日拿来再读，依然忍不住拍案叫绝。究其原因，不过是因为这篇文章为我们在日常生活中和写作中呈现出的思维方式的差异，找到了源头。

我们先借冯唐书中的例子来看看中国人交流的日常：“我们通常这样对小王的妈妈说：小王吃喝嫖赌抽，坑蒙拐骗偷，打瞎子骂哑巴，挖绝户坟敲寡妇门，小王是个坏蛋。”(选自冯唐《活着活着就老了》)

图片不清晰，我来传达一下：为了证明搬家后不会失去老朋友，学生想到，“随着我搬到新的地方，我将会接触到更多新鲜人、新鲜事，这样我和老朋友将有更多的话题进行交流，从而促进感情。”

是不是听来毫无违和感呢?暂且将这问题一放，我们回到冯唐的书里，他就这一问题继而写到：“我们通常不这样对小王妈妈说：小王是个坏蛋。然后看看小王妈妈的反应，再进一步提供证据：小王吃喝嫖赌抽，坑蒙拐骗偷，打瞎子骂哑巴，挖绝户坟敲寡妇门。”

其实后者这种作死找抽的交流方式，就是使用金字塔原则交流的结果。这样一种在生活中完全行不通的指导原则，在托福写作中却可以大行其道。让我们正式认识一下这个伟大的方法论吧，冯唐在书中用一句话概括了“金字塔原则”：任何事情都可以归纳出一个中心论点，而此中心论点可由数个一级论据支撑，这些一级论据也可以被数个二级论据支撑，如此延伸，状如金字塔。

“金字塔原则”在西方人的思维世界中根深蒂固，托福写作作为其思维方式的产物，也就深刻的体现着它的影响，我们只看到第一级论据，这种影响就体现的淋漓尽致：

1. 有了中心论点，就要有论据予以支撑，这是托福写作的最高指导原则，即，对自己说过的话负责任，唯有此，才能体现评分标准的要求，well-developed;

2. 当我们表达的内容有虚有实，有抽象信息有具体细节时，遵循先总后分的演绎式思维，基于此，才能体现评分标准的要求，well-organized。

这两个原则共同作用，决定了，很多时候在托福写作中，写完一句已经注定了下一句的内容。接下来，我将通过托福范文，让大家进一步感受这两点影响：

先看范文中这样一句话：

The choice between continuing to do only those things in which one is proficient andstriking out into new, unfamiliar territory is difficult.

它的出现决定了我们别无选择，只能对自己说过的话很负责任的解释这两个选择令人纠结的原因，即各有千秋的表现： There is comfort in remaining within familiar parameters, but growth happens onlywhen we exceed those boundaries.

再看一段： Both types of movies have a place in society.

此话一出，接下来就注定要谈及两类电影各自有其一席之地的表现：

Serious movies can convey poignant topics with power that can alter the watcher’sperspective. On the other hand, entertaining movies add levity and mirth to life.

所以，写作的过程，并非是天马行空胡思乱想的过程，它是使思想形成章法的过程，金字塔原则使这个过程既可以保证你有话可讲，又可以保证讲出的话符合逻辑，且做到论证充分，而这点恰是中国考生在托福写作中的软肋。

如此来看，如果我们需要表达“努力”的重要性，按照上文中提到的弹劾小王妈妈的方式，总是要一番铺陈最终才能得到结论;然而按照金字塔原则，首先要“归纳出一个中心论点”，即 It is universally acknowledgedthat hard work is indispensable to success. 接下来要给予一级论据，罗列努力重要的原因，亦或努力带给成功的具体表现，我们来看看这样一个版本：“Scientists toil for years before they make a majordiscovery. Students study for years before they are accepted by a top university. Self-madepeople work for a long time, even all their life before they make a fortune.” 它充分解释了上一句话。

让我们把这两个部分连在一起审视一下：

It is universally acknowledged that hard work is indispensable to success. Scientists toilfor years before they make a major discovery. Students study for years before they areaccepted by a top university. Self-made people work for a long time, even all their life beforethey make a fortune.

它没有像我们惯常那样，先进行罗列，再理直气壮得到结论。而是，先强加给读者一个抽象观点，再娓娓道来其具体表现。它既做到了对自己说过的话负责任(well-developed)，同时体现了演绎式思维，先总后分(well-organized)。

如果我们继续往二级论据研究，金字塔原则在托福写作中依然可以得到完美的.体现：
