An enormous net, which symbolizes internet, has connected everyone -- young and old, men and women. People from every corner of the world are typing the keyboard or clicking the mouse to keep in touch with other people. With its convenience and efficiency, the Internet is narrowing the distance in terms of space.

With no doubt the Internet has broken geographic barriers, however has created its own. While people enjoy surfing the net, barriers have emerged unnoticed and restricted each person to a narrow space. As the time spent on the Internet is on the rise, face-to-face communication has experienced a rapid drop. Over rely on the Internet has destroyed normal interpersonal relationships. A national survey showed 25% of frequent Internet users admitted that they had lost courage and skills to talk with others in reality and always refused to express their feelings face to face.

The reduction of contact in reality may result in feelings of loneliness and isolation. We should keep notice on it. After all, the virtual world of the Internet can't be a substitute for the real world. It is necessary for us to make use of Internet judiciously and interact with others actively in social activities.
